class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Under modern living conditions, the organisation of society and the state is no longer conceivable without a legal dimension. Today, national, international and transnational law constitutes a complex body of knowledge that requires professionals capable of dealing with various demands of society and the profession. Without the help of lawyers, it is no longer possible today to resolve the myriad issues in the private and public spheres in which legal relations of varying degrees of complexity meet and are clarified. For these reasons, the Faculty of Law, as one of the oldest institutions of the University of Split, strongly present in the public life of the Republic of Croatia, especially Dalmatia and its surroundings, organises the study of law in accordance with the requirements of the Bologna Process and Croatia's European affiliation.<\/p>\n<span><a onclick=\"read_toggle(1699473497, '', ''); return false;\" class=\"read-link\" id=\"readlink1699473497\" style=\"readlink\" href=\"#\"><\/a><\/span>\n<div class=\"read_div\" id=\"read1699473497\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Without qualified experts, it would be difficult to successfully implement the EU accession process, and the judiciary and administration would not be able to function effectively or meet EU requirements and standards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In the context of self-analysis of the Faculty of Law in Split, a comparison was made with the curricula of law faculties of some developed European countries, especially German and English law faculties, but also law faculties of countries belonging to the Central European legal circle and the Republic of Croatia. Charles University in Prague, Poland - Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Hungary - Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest). This analysis showed that the study program at the Faculty of Law in Split is basically no different from the teaching regime at the faculties of law in the mentioned countries. This is supported by the forms of the teaching process: lectures, exercises, seminars and case law, as well as the breadth and comprehensiveness of the curriculum of the Faculty of Law in Split.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">When it comes to comparing the program of the Faculty of Law in Split with other law faculties in Croatia, it points to the specifics of the region in which the Faculty of Law in Split operates, and accordingly emphasis is placed on maritime law, tourism law, international maritime law. It is emphasized that the Faculty of Law in Split has a leading role in some teaching disciplines in Croatia and that it is competitive in the world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Of course, the need for the necessary reconstruction of the curriculum of the Faculty of Law in Split was noticed in order to get even closer to the programs of European countries and to monitor the latest scientific achievements. In this effort, we see the need to introduce some new subjects such as: environmental law, European integration law (European law), medical law, ecclesiastical law, international criminal law and some other current content (clinical teaching, extracurricular activities, etc.).<br \/>\nIt follows from all this that the curriculum of the Faculty of Law in Split is constantly taken care of. The current renewed curriculum of this Faculty, in turn, provides a solid foundation for quality education of the profile of a law graduate.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Assessment of purposefulness with regard to the needs of the labor market:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The need for consolidation of the Republic of Croatia as a state governed by the rule of law that organizes its administration according to the rule of law, the growing need for more competent professional staff in the Croatian judiciary, and above all the need for the internal Croatian market. and Europeanization opens and expands the possibilities of legal academic education and meeting all the needs of the labor market.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Connection of studies with modern scientific knowledge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Faculty of Law of the University of Split has many years of experience in scientific research, successful implementation of a number of scientific projects in the field of law, which is an unavoidable foundation for the realization of any university study. At the same time, the Faculty of Law in Split participated at the national and international level in drafting legal texts and legal opinions covering almost all branches of law as well as in adopting international legal documents.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Comparability with programs of reputable foreign universities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The program of the Faculty of Law in Split is comparable to the program of two reputable law faculties in the European Union: (1) the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia and (2) the Faculty of Law, University of Warsaw, Poland.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Experience to date in implementing equivalent or similar programs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Faculty of Law of the University of Split is the successor to the Faculty of Law in Split, which was founded in 1960 and which has successfully implemented legal studies of various degrees for more than four decades: postgraduate, graduate and professional legal studies. Therefore, their experiences in legal study reform and alignment with the Bologna Process should certainly be taken into account. In that sense, guided by the principle of differentiation, proportionality and subsidiarity, PFS evaluated legal or non-legal subjects, and within legal subjects, in accordance with the tradition of legal education in the Republic of Croatia, took into account capital subjects (7 + 7). Conditions for conducting studies<\/p>\n<p>4.1. Places of study program<br \/>\nThe study is conducted at the Faculty of Law, University of Split, in a building owned by the Faculty of Law and located at Domovinskog rata 8, 10000 Split<\/p>\n<p>4.2. Data on space and equipment<br \/>\nThe Faculty of Law in Split is the owner of an office space with a usable area of 3,230 m2. One student accounts for 2.09 m2, and per employee it amounts to 48.93 m2. Teaching processes take place in a large lecture hall (Hall III) with 250 seats, lecture hall number (I) with 100 seats, and lecture hall number (II) houses a modernly equipped IT cabinet with 30 computers. Lecture hall number (IV) has 80 seats, and lecture hall number (VI) has 60 seats. Lecture halls (VII) and (VIII) have 80 seats each. The Faculty also has two seminar rooms with 30 seats each (Center for Croatian-German, European and Comparative Law, Seminar for Criminal Law Practice).<br \/>\nThe library is located on the ground floor of the Faculty building with a total area of 645 m2. The library also has a reading room with 36 reading places.<br \/>\nThe library is organizationally divided into three departments: 1. books 2. magazines 3. reading rooms. UNIX - the online version of the Crolist software package is used to process the collection, and catalogs can be searched online through the network of Croatian libraries.<br \/>\nThrough its information resources (catalogs, newsletters ...) the library introduces students and teachers to the library fund. The library fund uses book borrowing and work in the reading room, which is associated with complete periodicals, part of textbooks and seminar literature, reference collection, master&#039;s theses and dissertations.<br \/>\nThe library fund has a total of about 100,000 volumes (books and periodicals). The number of monographic publications is slightly more than 42,000 titles, and serial publications about 1,000 titles, while the current number of periodical titles (domestic and foreign) is around 250 titles.<br \/>\nThe number of titles per student is around 20 units of the library fund.<br \/>\nThe annual publication of books in the period from 2000 to 2004 averaged about 800 volumes. The method of monitoring the quality and success of the study program<br \/>\nThe Faculty of Law in Split is developing a model and methods for monitoring the quality and success of the study program, which relies on both internal and external factors to monitor the quality and success of the study program.
