Legal clinic

Info

The Faculty operates a Legal Clinic which, in accordance with the Free Legal Aid Act, is authorised to provide free primary legal assistance to persons of limited financial means who lack the necessary legal expertise.

In accordance with the Free Legal Aid Act, the Legal Clinic provides general legal information and prepares and provides legal advice. The Legal Clinic is not authorised to represent parties in court proceedings.

By providing free legal assistance, the Legal Clinic enables essential legal protection for vulnerable groups and thereby contributes to building a fairer society.

Legal assistance at the Clinic is provided by senior-year students of the University Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate Study Programme in Law under the professional supervision of academic staff and associates. In this way, the Clinic also serves as a form of practical education within the University Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate Study Programme in Law, enabling students to develop the skills required for legal practice and apply their acquired theoretical knowledge through organised teamwork on cases submitted by individuals seeking legal assistance. The experience gained through working at the Clinic represents an invaluable opportunity for students' professional development. By working on real cases, students develop their legal and communication skills, acquiring practical knowledge that complements their theoretical education.
