The Library of the Faculty of Law in Split represents the central place of academic support for students and teaching staff and is one of the key resources of the Faculty. As a higher education library, it operates within the Faculty of Law of the University of Split and is located at Domovinskog rata 8.
The Library was established shortly after the launch of the law study programme in 1960 and has continuously followed the needs of students and teaching staff ever since. From its very beginnings, the importance of professional library work has been emphasised, enabling the development of a high-quality and specialised collection.
Its primary role is to support the teaching process and scientific research, provide access to relevant legal literature, and offer information and bibliographic assistance to users, in accordance with the open science policy of the Faculty of Law in Split.
The Library collection includes literature from all branches of law, as well as publications from related fields such as political science, philosophy, history and sociology.
Users have access to printed and digital resources, online catalogues, as well as professional assistance provided by library staff.
As an integral part of the Faculty of Law, the Library is an important element of academic life – a space for learning, research and exam preparation, as well as a place where the culture of the legal profession and scientific work is nurtured.
