The system for ensuring and improving quality at the Faculty has been operating for many years, managed by the Faculty Council, while quality issues, in accordance with the Regulations on the System for Ensuring and Improving Quality of the Faculty of Law, University of Split, are directly addressed by the Committee for Ensuring and Improving Quality and other organizational units of the Quality System. The Committee coordinates the work of the organizational units of the Quality System, which operate in harmony, collaborate with each other, and share responsibility for ensuring and improving quality in all areas of the Faculty's activities. Within its jurisdiction, the Committee, among other things, participates in the preparation of the Faculty's self-evaluation, develops quality indicators (develops procedures for evaluating and self-evaluating the quality of education, collects information and analyzes data relevant to the management of the Quality System obtained from all system users and all organizational units of the Faculty, etc.), conducts institutional quality research, involves students in all quality management programs, cooperates with other bodies of the Faculty and the University of Split and institutions outside the University that can contribute to quality improvement, encourages and organizes the spreading of a culture of quality improvement in the academic public, organizes and conducts quality education for teachers, takes care of the professional development of teachers and associates (lifelong learning) and the professional development of administrative-technical and library staff, ensures the quality of general and specific competencies achieved by study programs and lifelong learning programs, improves the application of the information system and the approach to public information.
In addition to the aforementioned, the Committee, in collaboration with the Center for Advancement and Quality Assurance of Higher Education at the University of Split, plans the strategy for improving the quality of the Faculty, implements the assessment program and the quality improvement process at the Faculty, and coordinates the implementation of projects for the professional and expert development of staff (academic, (administrative and technical) in the field of quality.
With the aim of continuously improving business processes, the Faculty has been using the ISO system since 2005, which has been accredited by external independent evaluators since 2018. In accordance with quality assurance requirements prescribed by the Agency for Science and Higher Education, the Faculty has started implementing the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015). The operation of the Quality System at the Faculty is continuously aligned with relevant regulations and standards at the European and national levels, as well as at the level of the University of Split.
