FACULTY OF LAW SPLIT

The Faculty of Law in Split is a public higher education institution within the University of Split, which in the field of legal sciences organizes and conducts: integrated undergraduate and graduate university studies, professional studies and postgraduate studies.

The Faculty of Law in Split was founded in 1961. Excellent university teachers and associates and experts from practice participate in the scientific-teaching process at the Faculty of Law.

The professors of the Faculty of Law are the holders of numerous awards for their work, they are members of scientific associations and expert groups. In addition to the rich scientific and research knowledge of the teachers, other facilities are available to the students for successful studying: an IT cabinet, modern teaching aids and a rich library with a modernly equipped reading room.

The Faculty of Law publishes Proceedings, a scientific journal with international peer review. The Faculty carries out ten scientific projects financed by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports. In order to improve scientific research work, professional, teaching and expert activities, as well as connection with practice, five centers operate within the Faculty, and another one is under construction.

CENTER FOR EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

It was established with the aim of supporting students and lecturers of the Faculty in research work, creative approach to learning, development of communication skills and implementation of the Bologna Declaration. There are three workshops within the centre: How to study and write papers, Legal English and the Debating Club of the students of the Faculty of Law in Split

CENTER FOR MEDICAL LAW

It monitors regulations in the field of medical practice and harmonizes national legislation in this field with EU law, builds a database of regulations, literature and experts in medical law, organizes seminars and scientific conferences and cooperates with other domestic and foreign institutions in the field of medical practice. rights. At the initiative of the Center, the Faculty of Law in Split organized a postgraduate specialist study "Medical Law", which began teaching in February 2009.

CENTER FOR GERMAN, CROATIAN, EUROPEAN AND COMPARATIVE LAW

It was established to provide knowledge and information on German, European and comparative law for students and legal professionals in the field of law and economics in Croatia, and on Croatian and Southeast European law for German students and legal professionals, as well as experts from international organizations. The Center also organizes the exchange of teachers and students of graduate and postgraduate studies, and encourages and implements joint research and publishing projects.

CENTER FOR LIFELONG EDUCATION

It implements programs of permanent education of students and lawyers from public administration, judiciary, law and economy in order to prepare them for new professional challenges imposed by the development of modern society, especially the need to adapt to the acquis communautaire. The Center organizes lectures, round tables, seminars and professional gatherings, and performs a number of other activities such as providing expertise and legal opinions, publishing professional publications and the like.

CENTER FOR EUROPEAN DOCUMENTATION AND RESEARCH `` ROBERT SCHUMAN`` (CEDI)

It was established with the intention of enabling researchers and the general public to consult European professional documentation published in periodicals and other publications and via the electronic network. CEDI has a library and reading room, which are equipped with documentation and computer equipment for studying European topics.
