LLJJ 2025 Book of proceedings

 

International Scientific Conference “Law, Legality, Justice and Jurisprudence – Modern Aspects and New Challenges” is organized by the Faculty of Law, University of Split (Croatia) with international members of the Organizing and Program Committee.

Conference is organized as a hybrid event once every two years.

The conference aims to contribute to the improvement of scientific and practical legal issues by offering the latest knowledge in scientific achievements and the application of legal solutions in practice covering topics on law, legality, justice and jurisprudence – modern aspects and new clallenges.

The Faculty of Law University of Split is one of the most prestigious scientific institutions in the Republic of Croatia. Based on the concept of excellence, international orientation and successful organization of three international scientific conferences “Legal Challenges of Modern World” (in which almost 200 scientists from 24 countries of the world participated, and whose Book of Proceedings are indexed in WoS and HeinOnline citation databases) – Faculty of Law, University of Split continues to improve the quality of scientific research activities by organizing International Scientific Conference „Law, Legality, Justice and Jurisprudence – Modern Aspects and New Challenges”.

The conference aims to contribute to the improvement of scientific and practical legal issues by offering the latest knowledge in scientific achievements and the application of legal solutions in practice, and therefore, Faculty of Law University of Split has the honour to announce the Call for Abstracts for the 2025 conference, which will be held on 16 May 2025 as a hybrid event:

  • onsite (in-person) participation (Faculty of Law, University of Split, Domovinskog rata 8, 21 000 Split, Croatia); and
  • online participation (via MS Teams).

The conference topics will be focused on law, legality, justice and jurisprudence – modern aspects and new clallenges, focusing on the following issues:

  • Challenges of the  application of legal solutions in court practice;
  • Improvement of theoretical and practical legal problem areas;
  • Challenges of globalisation and Europeanisation of national law;
  • Public and Private Law crossing paths in the EU;
  • Judicial co-operation in civil and criminal matters;
  • E-commerce and unfair trade practices;
  • Fair market conditions;
  • Legal certainty and efficiency of public administration;
  • The legal aspect of improving the taxation system and investment competitiveness;
  • Legal aspects of corporate governance;
  • Confidence in the judiciary – independence and efficiency of the conduct of judicial proceedings;
  • Legal (and forensic) aspects of threats to the financial and economic system;
  • European approach to digital transformation, digital economy and society – impact on legal system;
  • Social justice and challenges of modern societies;
  • Cross-border labour mobility as the foundation of the EU market;
  • EU’s legal migration policy.

 

The official language of the conference is English.

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • 15 January 2025 – Deadline for completing the application form and submitting the abstract
  • 21 January 2025 – Notification of acceptance of the abstract
  • 4 February 2025 – Deadline for paying the conference fee
  • 11 March 2025 – Deadline for submitting the full paper
  • 16 May 2025 – Conference date

 

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS:

An abstract (up to 400 words with no more than 5 keywords) should be submitted with the  application form.Accepted abstracts will be published in the printed version of the Book of Abstracts.

 

CALL FOR PAPERS:

Authors of accepted abstracts have the opportunity to submit a full paper (in English) of no more than 10,000 words (including tables and references), which will be reviewed by at least two reviewers. After a double blind review, the accepted papers will be categorised (as a original scientific paper; review article; preliminary communication; professional paper) and published in a electronic edition which will be sent for indexation in WoS, HeinOnline database.

 

CONFERENCE FEE:[1]

Publication of Abstract + Presentation (onsite or online) with or without Publication of Full Paper: 150 EUR

The conference fee includes:

  • Welcome drink at the conference opening;
  • Participation in the opening and keynote speeches;
  • Attendance at all conference sessions (onsite and/or online);
  • Publication of one abstract in the Book of Abstracts (if the abstract is accepted for publication
  • Book of Abstracts (printed/PDF form);
  • One paper presented onsite/online and published in the electronic edition (if the paper is accepted for publication);
  • Book of Proceedings (PDF form);
  • Conference programme (printed/PDF form);
  • Certificate of participation (after presentation of abstract/paper) – PDF form;
  • Refreshments (coffee breaks) during the conference (for onsite participant);
  • Conference lunch or dinner (for onsite participant).
